Winslow was donated to TROT by a former owner who had employed this off-the-track thoroughbred as a lesson horse.
He became too old to compete in shows, but still has plenty of life left to work with people at TROT. Winslow, being a thoroughbred, never looks fat, but is actually in pretty good shape for a horse of his age.
We estimate he is in his late 20’s although we are not sure how old he really is. He is so old his track tattoo has faded and can’t be read any more.
Winslow has a fascination with the family of little blue herons that live in our woods. He constantly watches for them, and seems to think that they are going to “get” him. Poor Winslow!
